Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claims Kylian Mbappe could have joined the Gunners for free a few years ago.
The French forward has established himself as one of Europe's deadliest forwards at the age of 22, after his exploits for Paris Saint-Germain and France.
Wenger has now revealed he visited his countryman at his home when his future at AS Monaco was still unclear.
"He could have come to Arsenal for free. I would say every club is full of histories like that.
"You go to Milan, to Manchester, Arsenal, Chelsea there are these kind of stories everywhere."
Since joining PSG from Monaco in 2017, Mbappe has registered 111 goals and 59 assists in 153 appearances while he also won the World Cup with France in 2018.
