Georginio Wijnaldum has explained why, despite being heavily linked with a move FC Barcelona, he chose to join Paris Saint-Germain.
A number of reports in Spain suggested that Wijnaldum was expected to reunite with former Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman at the Camp Nou next season.
However, PSG seemingly swooped in with a last-minute offer that trumped Barcelona's proposal for the player, and he was officially unveiled by the French outfit on Thursday.
"I'm joining one of the best squads in Europe and I want to bring all my desire and commitment to this ambitious project.
"Paris Saint-Germain have proved how good they are in recent years and I am convinced that together, with our supporters, we can go even further and higher."
