It was a memorable night in the French capital as Paris Saint-Germain got their hands on the Ligue 1 title, Kylian Mbappe signed a new deal and they bid farewell to a star player.

The festivities began before the final clash got underway on Saturday evening with the news of Mbappe signing a new three-year deal and snubbing Real Madrid in the process.

The French forward was presented to the supporters at the Parc des Princes before the encounter where he announced his decision with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Mbappe then went on to bag an impressive hat-trick as Mauricio Pochettino's charges thrashed Metz 5-0 in their final game of the season.

With the hat-trick, the 2018 World Cup winner also clinched the Golden Boot accolade while he also finished with the most assists in Ligue 1 (17).

There was also an emotional farewell on the night, as Angel di Maria said his goodbyes as he was given a special guard of honour by his teammates when he was substituted in the second half.

The Argentine joined PSG from Manchester United in 2015 and has gone to win 18 trophies while registering 92 goals and 118 assists in 294 appearances.
