A French minister has begged young superstar Kylian Mbappe not to leave Paris Saint-Germain amid the links with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Mbappe has one year remaining on his current deal with the defending Ligue 1 champions, although the two parties have been engaged in talks over a new deal since December.
Los Blancos have reportedly been admirers of the 22-year-old as they look to bring in a new wave of 'Galacticos' after a couple disappointing seaons in the UEFA Champions League.
"We need you, the public needs you, PSG need you and our young people need to have role models and examples to look up to.
"Please don't leave us, stay here in France."
