A footballer playing in France was reportedly dropped from his club's first team for farting in his team's dressing room and laughing about his behaviour.
According to French news outlet L'Equipe, former Olympique Lyon defender Marcelo was removed from senior duties for his reported flatulence in the changing room, which was believed to upset the club's ex-sporting director Juninho.
The centre-back was demoted to the club's reserve team after a loss to Angers earlier this season, a performance that was "exacerbated" by what Lyon later called "inappropriate behaviour".
That remark from Lyon was believed to have been in reference to the experienced defender's tendency to fart in the dressing room and laugh with his teammates about it.
It is claimed that Juninho reacted to Marcelo's behaviour by deciding, along with manager Peter Bosz, to drop him from the squad.
The 34-year-old had his contract at Lyon terminated at the end of January, and has since joined Bordeaux.
