Confirmed: Lionel Messi & three Other PSG Stars test positive for COVID-19

Lionel Messi and three other Paris Saint-German stars have tested positive for Covid-19, the club have confirmed.

Mauricio Pochettino's preparation for Monday night's Coupe de France tie has been disrupted as they will be without Messi, Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala.

PSG also resume Ligue 1 action next weekend against Olympique Lyon, and it remains to be seen if the players will be available.

Statement:

The 4 players that tested positive for Covid-19 are Leo Messi, Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala.

They are currently in isolation and are subject to the appropriate health protocol.

The Ligue 1 leaders also confirmed that Neymar will continue his recovery on Brazil and return to the French capital on 9 January.
