Breaking: Ligue 1 & 2 Clubs Make Vote That Impacts African Countries

Ligue 1 and Ligue 1 clubs have voted unanimously to block players from leaving the EU over the coming international break, a decision that massively impacts African countries.

According to Get French Football News, the LFP have announced that Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 will not allow players to leave the European Union and the European Economic Area during the coming international break.

The decision has reportedly been made because footballers returning from international duty will be forced to quarantine as per national policy on COVID-19 rules.

As things stand, this means several France-based African players will not travel to meet up with their countries for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
