Reports coming out of Spain suggest that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane feels betrayed by his players after their shock exit from the Copa del Rey.
Zidane Reacts To Real's Copa Humiliation
According to Spanish publication Sport, the Frenchman is disappointed with his squad as he feels that they have not repaid him with the same faith he has put in them.
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez apparently wanted to strengthen the squad at the beginning of this season, but Zidane decided against this as he felt the players he had were good enough to do the job.
With the recent bad run of results, though, Zidane's confidence in those players has seemingly backfired on him as his team were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by minnows Leganes this week, and are 19 points behind FC Barcelona in LaLiga.
There is lots of uncertainty around Zidane's future at the club, and rumours have it that the Frenchman could be sacked by Real should they fail to get past Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League in February.
