The reigning LaLiga champions have started the defence of their title in the best possible fashion, winning all three of their opening fixtures, but they are still keen to offload some players who are considered surplus to requirements.
One of them is Spanish winger Marco Asensio. The forward's contract with Los Blancos concludes at the end of the season, but after initially wanting to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu to fight for his place, the 26-year-old now seemingly wants to leave the Spanish capital.
Having played just seven minutes of Real's three league matches this season, the former Mallorca man is understood to be eager to give himself the best possible chance of being in the Spain squad that will compete at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, even if it means leaving the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League winners.
Not keen to lose Asensio as a free agent at the end of the campaign, it seems Los Merengues are now open to selling the player.

Another Madridista who appears destined for the exit door is Mariano Diaz. Like Asensio, the forward has only 12 months remaining on his current deal, and according to AS, with the Spanish-born attacker not in Ancelotti's plans, Real are keen to recoup some money for the 29-year-old.
Alvaro Odriozola is another player who is not high up in the Real pecking order. Third choice behind Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vasquez for the right-back position, his departure seems the likeliest in the coming hours.
It is understood that Real Sociedad are eager to take the Spaniard to the Basque country.
