The defending champions are currently sitting in third place and a massive 15 points behind the Catalan giants, who reign at the top of LaLiga after going their first 29 games of the campaign unbeaten.
Real have already lost five matches this season, and have also been eliminated from the Copa del Rey, in which they will have to watch Barcelona take on Sevilla in the final.

Real had just won the FIFA Club World Cup and felt they deserved a guard of honour at the Camp Nou, but the Blaugrana refused because they were not involved in the international tournament.
