A Spanish football agent has been lambasted for telling a Real Madrid star to "stop playing the monkey" with his goal celebrations.

Vinicius Junior has carried his 2021/22 form into the new season having already scored five goals and provided three assists in all competitions. The Brazilian's latest exploits in LaLiga have caused an uproar amongst the Spanish media, however.
The 22-year-old found the back of the net once again in the Spanish top flight this past weekend as Real came from behind to capture a 4-1 victory over Mallorca. The Brazil international found the back of net after his compatriot Rodrygo laid it off to make it 2-1.
The skillful winger ran to the corner flag and began to dance as he usually does when he celebrates a goal. Now it seems that certain members of the media in Spain have a problem with the way the Sao Goncalo native celebrates, specifically Pedro Bravo, President of the Spanish Agents association.
"You (Vinicius Jr) have to respect the opponent," the Spaniard said on El Chringuito TV.
"If you want to dance, go to the sambadrome in Brazil.
"In Spain, you have to respect rivals and stop playing the monkey."

The Madrid-based agent has since been slammed for his remarks which have been perceived to carry racial undertones.
National side teammate and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has since come to Vinicius' defence for the star's flashy celebrations. posting an image of the pair dancing whilst on international duty with Brazil.
