Official: FC Barcelona Confirm Squad Numbers For 2019/20

FC Barcelona have officially announced their squad numbers for the 2019/20 campaign, with two Africans now part of the first-team squad and the No. 7 shirt staying vacant after they failed to re-sign Neymar.

The Spanish transfer window closed on Monday, and the Blaugrana brought in four new faces, namely Antoine Griezmann, Frenkie de Jong, Neto and Junior Firpo.

However, they failed to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou, which means the No. 7 shirt remains vacant, as were Nos. 12 and 14.

New second-choice goalkeeper Neto, meanwhile, received the No. 13, while Griezmann opted for No. 17 and Junior Firpo received No. 24.

De Jong did ask Carles Alena for the No. 21 jersey because he has a personal connection to the number, which saw Alena switch to No. 19 even though the way the club communicated the change upset the latter.

Senegalese right-back Moussa Wague was promoted to the squad from the Barca B side, and will wear the No. 16 shirt, while Guinea-Bissau-born Ansu Fati will wear No. 31.

The 16-year-old, who became the club's youngest scorer in history recently, is still registered with Barca B, but Ernesto Valverde has decided he will stay with the first team after impressing in the absence of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in recent weeks.

Here are all of Barca's squad numbers for the 2019/20 campaign:
