Interim FC Barcelona president Carles Tusquets has responded to claims that Ronaldo Koeman will be sacked after the Blaugrana dropped more points on the weekend.
The Catalan giants' shaky form in LaLiga continued after playing to a 2-2 draw with Valencia at the Camp Nou on Saturday evening.
Barcelona are now eight points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid, who have played a game less than Koeman's side, and the manager's future has been called into question as a result.
However, Tusquets has insisted the Dutch tactician will not be sacked any time soon.
"[Ronald] Koeman is doing well, he has great criteria, he bets on the youth system and young players.
"He absolutely has my support and he will always have it. I've eaten with him recently and I found him to be optimistic."
Barcelona will look to get back on the winning trail when they travel to Real Valladolid on Tuesday night.
