No current U21 player has enjoyed a meteoric rise quite as dramatic as Kylian Mbappe, which is why the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is regarded as the most valuable youngster in world football. The Paris Saint-Germain star, who burst through as a 16-year-old at AS Monaco four years ago, is valued at a whopping €200 million (R3.3 billion), according to Spanish publication Marca.

The French wonderkid is followed closely by new Atletico Madrid starlet Joao Felix, who has been dubbed "the new Cristiano Ronaldo" after his early performances for club and country, and has a reported value of around €170 million (R2.8 billion).
Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund and Kai Havertz of Bayer Leverkusen are the third and fourth most valuable U21 players in the world respectively, with the Bundesliga duo boasting a combined value of €190 million (R3.1 billion). England international Sancho accounts for €100 million (R1.6 billion) of that amount, with Havertz close behind on €90 million (R1.4 billion).
