Pirates Clash On Course To Be Sold Out

Orlando Pirates' next CAF Champions League encounter against Algerian giants MC Algiers on Tuesday is on course to be sold out.

According to Competition, within five hours of tickets being released for the aforementioned quarter-final encounter, 35,000 of the 50,000 tickets available were sold. It is believed to be a record-setting pace on the Digiticket platform, as the clash is expected to be sold out.

The same report claims that the stadium's management team has reserved an extra 10,000 tickets in case the demand to watch the match live continues.

El Mouloudia are expected to create a hostile environment for the South African outfit, as it is alleged that there has been a call for fans to bring whistles to conjure as much of a hostile environment as possible.

What fans have been told not to bring, however, are smoke bombs, as the club is keen to avoid any stadium bans.

While the MCA faithful will be looking to make the Buccaneers as uncomfortable as possible, Jose Riveiro's charges have already been successful on multiple occasions in North Africa during their Champions League campaign.

Most recently, Ezimnyama Ngenkani won in Cairo against Al Ahly, but their first win in that region of the continent came in Algeria against CR Belouizdad. Two goals from Mohau Nkota in their group-stage game earned them a pivotal 2-1 victory, but Riveiro will be hoping his side can translate this form into the knockout stages as well.
