Munetsi Receives Massive Praise By EPL Boss

Wolves head coach Vítor Pereira has revealed why the club chose to Marshell Munetsi and shed light on what the Zimbabwean star will bring to his side.

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi secured a £16.6 million (R386 million) transfer from French club Reims to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League.

The 28-year-old Zimbabwean's move was one of two deals finalized by the Black Country club on transfer deadline day, Monday night.

Pereira has now praised the new signing and revealed the qualities that the midfielder possesses.

"Physically, he's a very strong player," the manager revealed.

"He is a player who goes box-to-box, strong in the duels, strong in the air, with a good quality of pass and he runs a lot."

Pereira was also quizzed about whether Munetsi's relationship with deadline day signing Emmanuel Agbadou can help him settle in at his new club.

"I think so. They are very good friends and he's a player that can bring us the physicality that we need, the solutions that we need in the middle," the head coach revealed.

"Because the experience that we had before, when we had Andre out one game, we had problems, then we had Joao out for another game.

"Bellegarde did very well, and he was – for me – in this position a very good surprise, but I think now the squad is more balanced."
