Former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben, who recently made a shock return from retirement to rejoin his boyhood club, has now explained the reasons for his surprising decision.

The 36-year-old had decided to hang up his boots after the 2018/19 campaign, but will soon return to the pitch for Groningen.
He made his senior debut for the Dutch side in 2001 before his career took him to PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea, Real and Bayern.
"The difference in the standard between Bayern and Groningen is naturally a lot different," Robben said, as quoted by The Sun.
"But I'm here to help the club. You do that by showing the right attitude. I don't have anything to lose and I'm going into the challenge with a positive attitude and to try and make the best of it.
"I haven't set any goals, it could be over in a month or it could last two years."
Robben also spoke about how his wife's support played an important role in his decision.
"It made the decision a lot easier knowing I had the support of my family," he added.
"Retiring was the toughest decision of my career, maybe a little forced upon me with all the injuries. It made the decision a lot easier knowing I had the support of my family.
"We decided to stay a year in Munich to enjoy the city and get used to the idea of not playing football. I didn't watch much for about six months and really enjoyed doing other things.
"But eventually the sports lover in you starts to nag and I had been training to run the Rotterdam Marathon before the coronavirus crisis."

Robben made 52 appearances for Groningen between January 2001 and June 2002, scoring 12 goals and assisting another five strikes before joining PSV in the July that followed.
