Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly made contact with one of his former FC Barcelona stars.
Reports: Arsenal Target Told He Can Leave Barca
According to the Daily Star, the former Blaugrana boss is trying to lure Spain international Andres Iniesta to the Etihad next season.
The Citizens manager regards the Catalan playmaker as one of the best midfielders of his generation, and apparently feels that his close relationship with the player could play a hand in getting him to come to England.
Guardiola is said to be hoping to replicate his Barcelona model at City next season, and a player like Iniesta would certainly help him with his master plan.
The 33-year-old is incredibly good at keeping possession and picking the right passes, something City lacked in certain periods last season.
