One player who has been on the London club's radar for a few weeks now is Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko. The 22-year-old was part of the successful Ligue 1 side that managed to win the league and reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals last season, and is apparently considered the perfect partner for N'Golo Kante in the coming years.

Another Ligue 1 star who has been linked with the Stamford Bridge club is Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan could replace Spain forward Diego Costa, who has been told that he can leave. The 30-year-old Uruguayan scored 49 goals in 50 appearances for the Paris side in 2016/17.

If the London club's move for Romelu Lukaku does not work out, then Torino's Andrea Belotti could be an option for the English champions. The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, with Manchester United said to be leading the charge. The Italy striker scored 28 goals in 38 appearances for Torino last season.
