The Spain-born teenager has taken full advantage of Raphinha's suspension, following up his impressive debut start against Cadiz with a sensational showing against Quique Setien's Yellow Submarine.
The 16-year-old became the youngest-ever Barca player to register an assist in LALIGA when he helped Gavi open the scoring in the encounter, before playing a pivotal role in another two strikes to help the Blaugrana win the match.
After the game, his manager had nothing but good things to say about his performances this season.
"[Yamal] is a very good player. Very unbalancing, very electric, a difficult opponent to cover. He has a great future," the 43-year-old tactician said, as per Goal.
Xavi will now have a difficult decision to make as to whether to reintegrate Raphinha back into the starting XI or persist with Yamal, but regardless of the Spaniard's eventual choice, the latter has insisted he will make the most of any opportunity his fellow La Masia alumni gives him.
"I will take advantage of every opportunity that the manager gives me. I'm not afraid. I try to play football, which is what I do best," Yamal said after the match.
