There has been a surprise update on the immediate future of FC Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele amid his contract issues.
The Frenchman is in the final year of his contract with the LaLiga champions, but it seems another one of Europe's giants are looking to take advantage.

Paris Saint-Germain have now reportedly turned their attention to signing the French World Cup winner while they deal with Kylian Mbappe saga.
Various reports in Europe have now claimed that the club are looking to activate Dembele's €50million release clause, which is in effect until 31 July 2023.

Despite PSG's advances, Barcelona are still trying to pin the French forward down to a new contract.
However, Barca vice-president Rafa Yusta has admitted his frustration with how things have gone with regards to the contract renewal.
"It seems like a never ending story. The same thing has happened to us every year," Barca vice-president Rafa Yusta said, as per Sport.
"Xavi likes Dembélé very much and it is a process that is slower than others. I hope we end up in a good understanding on both sides."
