The Spaniard currently has just under 12 months remaining on his current contract at the Camp Nou, but that is not the case any longer as the 43-year-old tactician inked a new one-year extension at the club.
There is also believed to be an option for an extra year on the contract as he looks to extend his two-year stint at his boyhood club.

The former midfielder took over the Blaugrana perhaps at its most chaotic time in recent years after they parted ways with Ronald Koeman and ever since his appointment, the team has gradually been improving.
The Terrassa native helped the club ascend up the ranks during his first season in the managerial hot seat as he took the side from ninth all the way to second on the table, a campaign which was most notable for a 4-0 drubbing of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Last season, he captured Spanish Super Cup honours before ending the club's four-year wait for a league title as the Blaugrana won LALIGA by 10 points.

Perhaps most importantly, Xavi has overseen the final phasing out of some of his former teammates in the form of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, to the transitioning of some fresh La Masia faces with the likes of Alejandro Balde, Lamine Yamal and Gavi in an effort to set the club up for years to come.
