Martinez, who has been capped 20 times for his country since his international debut in 2013, has penned a two-year deal at the Catalan club.
The centre-back was believed to have agreed a move to Xavi Hernandez's side earlier this year after he entered into the final six months of his contract at Bilbao.
He left the Basque club after making 177 appearances in four-and-a-half seasons, during which he won the Spanish Super Cup in 2021 and finished as a runner-up in the Copa del Rey twice.
