Spain international Inigo Martinez and Germany star Ilkay Gundogan have already joined the Catalan club, while 18-year-old striker Vitor Roque's signature has been secured ahead of the 2024/25 season, but a fourth signing has now been confirmed by the LALIGA champions.
Defensive midfielder Oriol Romeu, 31, returns to the club following a one-year stint at Girona, whom he joined after a seven-year stay at Southampton England.

The player is a product of Barcelona's academy, but struggled to make the grade after he made just two senior appearances for the club before joining Chelsea in 2011.
Romeu recently became a target for Xavi Hernandez following the free-agent departure of Sergio Busquets, who has reunited with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami in the MLS.

Playing 34 matches this past season for Girona, the midfielder is now back where his career started as he hopes to help the Blaugrana retain the league title and compete in the UEFA Champions League.
