Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made a big claim about a potential return to Barcelona in the future.
Guardiola: Why I'm Staying At Man City
The Spanish tactician announced himself as a top-level coach in 2008 at the Catalan club, with whom he won an impressive 14 trophies in a four-year spell, including two UEFA Champions League titles.
After being considered among the best managers in world football following his tenure at the club he once represented and captained, Guardiola took his coaching career to Bayern Munich in 2013, before joining City in 2016.
Today, the 51-year-old is widely thought of as the man who revolutionised modern football, with many Barcelona fans still hopeful his path will one day take him back to the Camp Nou.
While he has previously said returning to his former club would not be an option, Guardiola appeared more receptive to the idea when recently posed the question.
"Returning to Barca? If I think it's necessary, I'll return, but it's not the case," said, according to Mundo Deportivo.
"If we have to get together again one day, we will get together again, but let it be naturally."
Ronaldo Offered Big Money To Leave Europe
Guardiola recently extended his contract at the Citizens until 2025, meaning he will have served the Manchester-based side for nine years by the time his deal runs out.
