The Blaugrana are currently experiencing a mini-injury crisis, and one of the areas of the pitch that seem to be most compromised is attack.
Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are all currently injured, leaving the LALIGA champions short up front.
However, the Catalan giants did complete the signing of teenage sensation Vitor Roque during the off-season for €40 million (R799 million).
The Brazilian was expected to stay at his club Athletico Paranaense until the end of the ongoing European season so the Spanish giants could raise the necessary funds to be in line with the league's Financial Fair Play rules.
In light of all the injuries, though, manager Xavi reportedly requested that the club expedite Roque's arrival by bringing him in during the next window.
All parties have now reached an agreement on the change of plans, as confirmed by the player's agent.
"Everything is ready for Vitor Roque to sign for Barcelona in January 2024. Everything is agreed with the clubs and with the player. Nobody has told me otherwise, so Vitor Roque will be in Barcelona's sports project in January 2024," Andre Curry told RAC1.

Roque is currently nursing an ankle injury he sustained in a recent league match against Internacional, but while he was initially expected to return in only three months' time, his agent has stated that he should be back in action within four weeks.
