Along with Alba and Busquets, Gerard Pique is also no longer a Barca player, leaving Sergi Roberto as the only remaining player from the side's four-man captaincy group heading into the 2023/24 campaign.
Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen replaced Pique in the leadership core following the Spaniard's January retirement, with Ronald Araujo and Robert Lewandowski thought to be candidates for next season.
