The La Masia alumni has been on a record-breaking spree this season, having already become the youngest-ever debutant for the Blaugrana and second-youngest overall in Europe's premier club competition when he was introduced against Royal Antwerp at just 16 years and 68 days old in the competition's first matchweek.
Now, according to Opta Sports, at 16 years and 83 days, the Spaniard surpassed Nigeria's Celestine Babayaro to become the youngest-ever player to start a Champions League match when he was named in the starting XI by Xavi Hernandez for Barca's 1-0 victory over FC Porto on Wednesday night.
However, it is not only for the LALIGA champions he has been rewriting the record books, having also recently become the youngest debutant in Spain national team history after head coach Luis de la Fuente brought him on from the bench during a 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifier against Georgia last month.

The teenage sensation would make the most of that opportunity as he then became the youngest-ever goalscorer in the nation's rich history during a 7-1 thumping of their opponents.
