Barcelona are now reportedly preparing a final offer for one of Manchester City's out-of-favour stars.

According to Sport, the Blaugrana are ready to launch a final bid for City right-back Joao Cancelo.
The Portuguese defender has been one of the Catalan giants' main targets since the beginning of the year, and with no other team believed to be in for the 29-year-old currently, it looks as though the LALIGA champions are the only side with concrete interest in signing him in this transfer window.
As per the abovementioned Spanish publication, Barca will look to negotiate a loan deal with an option to buy for the versatile star, but it remains to be seen whether or not the Citizens will agree to this, having previously rejected a similar temporary move for him from them before.
The same outlet claims that this will be Xavi Hernandez's last attempt to lure the Barreiro native to the Camp Nou as they seek to resolve the mooted transfer as soon as possible, and have got Cancelo to reduce his salary demands too.
The five-time European champions will, however, not wait much longer for the treble winners to make a decision on the attacking fullback as they have already identified an alternative option for the Portugal international, in Juan Villarreal's Foyth.

Barca are believed to be more confident in landing Cancelo, however, as it appears Pep Guardiola no longer counts on him.
