The Blaugrana have finally put an end to the speculation surrounding their prodigious young talent as, according to Sport, the Spanish winger will not be leaving the Camp Nou in this transfer window.
The report claims that, while there were clubs interested in acquiring the services of the 20-year-old, the west African-born attacker wants to stay in Catalonia and achieve success with his boyhood club.
Speaking to the Spanish publication, Barca president Joan Laporta claims that the hierarchy never asked Fati to leave and are keen on prolonging his stay at the home of the LALIGA champions.
"We have not asked him to leave, he has a contract," the 61-year-old executive admitted.
"Ansu points out that this season he will be much better than the previous one, which was almost a recovery because he relapsed from an injury.
"Both at the national team level and as a coach they tell us that he is much better every day. He wants to succeed at Barca, his entourage and his agent want him to play more, but this depends on the coach.

"Hopefully soon we will be able to see Ansu Fati who dazzled and fell in love with football. I trust that. And I know the coach does too and it gives me peace of mind."
