The 21-year-old has returned to the fold for Xavi Hernandez this season and while it was mooted that he may be used as a way to recoup funds in the transfer market, Sport has now claimed that the reigning Spanish champions have decided they have no intention of letting go of the attacker after all.
Abde's agent, Javier Garrido, recent sat down with new Barca sporting director Deco to discuss the Beni Melal native's future and it was in this meeting where the Portuguese executive insisted that the Catalans and Xavi want to count on him in this campaign.
Initially, it was believed that the intention of the club was to consider bids for the winger so they could afford bringing Joao Felix to the club, but having already received offers from other Spanish teams as well as Premier League and Bundesliga opposition, the five-time European champions now no longer wish to part with the forward unless it is for an undeniable offer.
