FA Cup Third Round Wrap

FA Cup Third Round Wrap

Manchester City booked their spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Birmingham City.

The Citizens, who were without Sergio Aguero once again, took an eighth-minute lead through Bernardo Silva's fine strike.

Silva added his and City's second goal on 15 minutes, before Phil Foden added a third in the 33rd minute.

Despite the flurry of changes from both sides in the second half, neither were able to add to the scorline.

Chelsea cruised into the fourth round with a 4-0 win over Morecambe at Stamford Bridge.

Kepa Arrizabalaga was given a rare start along with Emerson and Antonio Rudiger in the Blues defence.

Mason Mount got the scoring underway on 18 minutes before Timo Werner ended his goal-drought by doubling his side's just before the break.

Callum Hudson-Odoi extended the lead five minutes after the restart before Kai Havertz added the Blues' fourth goal in the 85th minute.

Leeds United were dumped out of the FA Cup after a shock 3-0 loss to League Two side Crawley Town.

After the first half ended goalless, Nicolas Tsaroulla and Ashley Nadesan put the hosts into a two-goal lead before 53 minutes.

Jordan Tunnicliffe wrapped up the win for Crawley, who put their name in the hat for Monday's fourth-round draw.
