Yaya Toure was outraged after finishing second in the 2015 African Player of the Year awards, but did not even make the 30-man shortlist this year.

The 33-year-old lost out on the 2015 CAF Player of the Year award by seven points to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who received 143 votes.
Toure thought he was the favourite to lift the accolade after captaining Ivory Coast to their second Africa Cup of Nations title and shining for Manchester City.
After hitting what was arguably the climax of his career in 2013/14, when his 20 goals helped City to their second Premier League title – the club's fifth trophy since Toure joined in 2010 – his influence in City's line-up had already started to decline in 2014/15 and 2015/16, during which the club lifted only the League Cup.
While Toure himself was outraged about not winning his fifth consecutive African Player of the Year award, many experts suggested Aubameyang to deserved to end the Ivorian's four-year reign.
His fall from grace has continued since Pep Guardiola arrived at City, with Toure having made only one appearance for the Spaniard.
A few weeks ago, the Spanish tactician announced that the African midfielder will not play another game under him as City boss unless his agent Dimitri Seluk apologises for slamming him after the coach left Toure out of City's UEFA Champions League squad.
However, neither Seluk nor Toure seem prepared to make peace with Guardiola, and although the player has been training with the first team, he has not made any appearances since featuring in a Champions League qualifier against Steaua Bucharest.

As a consequence, the four-time African Player of the Year was not included in CAF's 30-man shortlist for the 2016 African Player of the Year award.
