Yaya Toure Apologizes To 5-Year-Old Girl After Shot Hits Her Face

Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure, has phoned a five-year-old girl and her father to apologise after she was struck by his wayward shot during the 2-2 draw at QPR.

TV footage showed Toure's effort hitting Chloe Power, a Loftus Road season-ticket holder, full in the face on Saturday.

The young girl was unable to protect her face with her hands, but luckily she escaped serious injuries.

After the game, Toure, who is shortlisted for the BBC African Player of the Year, donated his signed shirt with the word "sorry" written on it to Chloe, as reported by the Guardian.

He also tweeted: "I was very worried… Just spoke to the lovely Chloe and her dad on the phone. So glad she is ok."

Queens Park Rangers also donated a club shirt to Chloe and her family to make up for the shocking experience, and tweeted: "We've just spoken to the young girl who was hit by Yaya Toure's shot – she's fine and will enjoy these shirts!"
