Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks, but the deal seems to have hit a snag.
Reports: Aubameyang To Arsenal Depends On One Star
According to the Daily Mirror, the Bundesliga club has turned down a £45 million (R765 million) offer from the North London club for their prized asset.
BVB will apparently not accept anything less than £60 million (R1 billion) for the attacker, which could be quite a stumbling block for Arsenal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger did not sound optimistic of a deal being made soon when he was recently asked about signing Aubameyang in the coming weeks.
"Confident or not confident, I don't know," Wenger said, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
"At the moment, we have done – we are not close to any deal with Aubameyang or anybody else.
"You never know how close you are. These are the kind of things – at the moment, it is one of the possible movements but we have other things in mind as well.
"We have plenty of opportunities in different positions, you know, so the final decision is not made."
