Barcelona striker Luis Suarez says it was the English media that drove him to leave Liverpool for the Catalan giants.
Suarez Outscores Ronaldo In 2015
Suarez, who joined Barcelona last summer for £75 million, left Liverpool after his biting incident at the 2014 World Cup - which was his third reported case.
The Uruguayan admitted that the English media was one of the reasons why he left England and also believes that they have a campaign against him.
"I don't know if the English press have a campaign against me, but it looks like they miss me," Suarez told beIN Sports.
"They criticised me a lot, looking for things that weren't there and calling attention to them.
"They published images of me (tussling with Martin Demichelis) in the morning and when they saw that it was false, the images suddenly disappeared.
"They talk too much and they didn't leave me in peace and I left because I was tired of them, but they continue looking for something."
Suarez has made 26 appearances for Barcelona so far this season and has scored 13 goals along the way.
