Sean Dyche Reveals What Happened With Jurgen Klopp In Tunnel Row

Manager Sean Dyche has revealed what happened between him and Jurgen Klopp when they clashed in the tunnel at half-time during Burnley's shock victory over Liverpool on Thursday night, while the Reds coach also reacted to the incident.

The visitors became the first side to win at Anfield after the Reds had gone unbeaten for 68 games at their home ground, a record dating back to March 2017, following Ashley Barnes' late winner from the penalty spot.

However, tempers had flared earlier in the match, when the referee blew for half-time, with Klopp and Dyche seen in a heated argument as they walked down the tunnel after a scuffle between some of the players on the pitch.

"Look, you come to these places. We are allowed to actually fight, we are allowed to try and win, that's all it was," the Burnley boss said, according to the Liverpool Echo, when asked about the incident.

"We said a couple of things but absolutely nothing out of the norm. It was two managers fighting for their teams, trying to win the game. There is nothing wrong with that."

Klopp, meanwhile, did not go into detail as to what transpired, but did insist that Dyche was the instigator.

"If he's not talking about it, I'm not talking about it. I didn't start it, but it's all good," the German tactician said.

Liverpool are now sit six points behind log leaders Manchester United at the halfway point of the campaign, having collected 21 points less than they did at the same stage last season when they were sitting at the top of the table with 55 points.
