English giants Manchester United have reportedly offered Zlatan Ibrahimovic a surprise position at the club.
Van Gaal Bullish Despite Exit Rumours
According to Swedish publication Aftonbladet, Ibrahimovic is on his way to the Red Devils to become an assistant coach to Jose Mourinho, who, it is rumoured, will soon be unveiled as the Old Trafford club's next manager.
The 34-year-old striker, who played his final game for Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday, has been linked with a move to United for a few months now, and it is believed that he wants to reunite with Mourinho.
It was originally reported that the Swede would join the English club as a player, but it has now been suggested that he may become one of the Portuguese tactician's staff members.
The same report, however, claimed that Ibrahimovic may also represent the 20-time English champions in a playing capacity for 12 months.
There has been no confirmation that the former Chelsea boss will be taking over the reins at United next season, but with the English campaign now done and dusted, it is expected that current boss Louis van Gaal will be sacked.
