Club Chief Breaks Silence On Salah Links

An executive of a major European club has broken his silence following reports earlier this week linking them with a move for Mohamed Salah.

This past weekend, the Egyptian attacker demonstrated just how integral he is to Liverpool's success. He first assisted and then scored as the Reds condemned Manchester City to a 2-0 defeat in the Premier League.

The victory came just a week after he inspired the Merseysiders to a thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind victory against Southampton.

Salah's remarkable form continues amidst the final year of his contract at Anfield. After the win at St Mary's Stadium, the 32-year-old told reporters that he was "more out than in" at Liverpool, having yet to receive a formal extension offer from the six-time European champions.

These statements have further fuelled speculation surrounding the two-time CAF Men's Player of the Year, with more clubs reportedly linked to his services. The latest of these sides is French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.

The record Ligue 1 champions have previously been linked with the Egyptian forward. Now, with Kylian Mbappe departed from the club, it seems they are eager to fill the void left by their all-time leading goalscorer.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has responded to the rumours connecting the French giants with Salah. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said:

"It's not true. He's a fantastic and extraordinary player, but we never thought about him, to be honest.
