Venue: Molineux Stadium

Marcus Rashford was back in the team after he was dropped for the FA Cup clash due to disciplinary reasons, as Brazilian winger Antony dropped to the bench

Rashford only needed five minutes to make his presence felt as he bagged his third goal in his last three league games with a wonderful finish from the edge of the box after being teed up by Rasmund Hojlund.

The Red Devils continued to dominate and managed to bag a second goal in the 22nd minute when another neat passing move ended with Hojlund bundling home a cross from Luke Shaw.

While Wolves struggled to carve out chances, United had the ball in the back of the net for a third time just before the break when Hojlund slotted home, but the celebrations were cut short after the Danish striker was flagged for offside.

The hosts nearly pulled a goal back five minutes after the break through Max Kilman's powerful header, but Lisandro Martinez got back in time to make a vital clearance.

Wolves were afforded the chance to get one back after being awarded a penalty on 70 minutes when Casemiro was adjudged to have brought down Pedro Neto. Pablo Sarabia stepped up and calmly slotted down the middle.

However, United restored their lead four minutes later when Scott McTominay scored with his first touch by nodding home a corner from Bruno Fernandes for his sixth league goal of the season.

Wolves did set up a nervy finish when Craig Dawson headed the ball back into the path of Kilmman, who controlled well before volleying past Onana from six yards out.

It was back on level terms in the 95th minute when a swift counter attack ended with Neto cutting inside and firing home the near post.

However, the Red Devils had the final say as the young Mainoo skipped past a few challenges before sending a superb curling strike into the far corner to seal a thrilling win.
