Result: Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 Arsenal

Venue: Molineux Stadium
The Gunners were unchanged from their narrow win over Chelsea, as Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka were on the forefront of the attack.
The sides had early chances at goal with Goncalo Guedes breaking through for Wolves on six minutes but goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale came out quickly to snuff out danger.
After initially starting despite illness, Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka could not continue after 16 minutes and was replaced by Fabio Vieira.
Mikel Arteta's charges gained the attacking momentum towards the half-hour mark and Jesus had a golden opportunity ten minutes before the interval after he was put through on goal by Saka but his curling shot clipped the top of the crossbar.
Wolves were waiting to pounce on counter-attacks and Guedes had a good opportunity shortly before the half-time break after a bad back pass by William Saliba sent him through on goal but Gabriel made a great recovery to deflect the Portuguese's curling shot towards the far post, wide.
Arsenal had a perfect start in the second stanza as Martin Odegaard eventually broke the deadlock ten minutes in with a tap-in from a sumptuous square pass by Vieira, who was slipped through on goal by Jesus.
The Gunners continued to combine to food effect in the last third and Jesus almost setup the second goal on 65 minutes after he threaded a pass towards Odegaard, who was going clear on goal but Maximilian Kilman made a last-ditch clearance from behind to snuff out danger.
Wolves made a mistake stuck in their own half and were swamped by Arsenal, as Odegaard got the insurance goal and completed his brace in the last 15 minutes with strike from a rebound in the box after a cross by Oleksandr Zinchenko caused all sorts of problems.
The home side still had some fight left in them as Daniel Podence came close twice in the dying minutes, firstly with an audacious over-head kick that flashed just wide and also forced a reflex save out of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale with a looping strike a couple of minutes later.
However, the Gunners were home and dry, as they extended their lead at the top of the log to five points clear of second-placed Manchester City going into the FIFA World Cup break.
