Blues coach Mauricio Pochettino made just one change from the FA Cup win over Aston Villa, with as Thiago Silva returns in place of Benoit Badiashile who did not make the squad.

The Eagles came into the encounter having lost their last 12 Premier League encounters against the Blues, who lost 4-2 to Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last league outing.

After a quiet start to the half, Palace carved out the game's first opening in the 23rd minute when Malo Gusto gave possession away to Jean-Philippe Mateta, who unleashed a curling strike that was palmed away by Djordje Petrovic.

Seven minutes later, Palace were in the lead as Jefferson Lerma did well to win the ball high up and the pitch before sending a sublime curling strike into the top corner from outside the box.

After a disappointing first half, the Blues needed just one minute to get back on level terms in the second half when Gusto picked out Conor Gallagher, who volleyed home from close range.

The visitors were dealt a big blow after the hour mark when Silva was unable to continue after sustaining, with Levi Colwill brought on as the Brazilians replacement for the final 30 minutes.

Chances continued to fall for the away side as Ben Chilwell blazed over from the edge of the box, while Nicolas Jackson went wide with a headed effort with 20 minutes left on the clock.

The Blues completed the turnaround in the first minute of stoppage time when a swift counter attack ended with Palmer teeing up Gallagher, who showed great composure to slot into the bottom corner for the win.

The points were made safe a couple minutes later as Palmer bagged his second assist by playing in Enzo Fernandez, who cut inside before rifling the ball home.
