Man Utd Thrashed At Old Trafford, Chelsea Drop Point!

Man Utd Thrashed At Old Trafford, Chelsea Drop Point!

Manchester United 0-3 Bournemouth

Manchester United suffered their third defeat in four Premier League matches after a 3-0 drubbing by Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

Man United omitted Marcus Rashford for the third straight game, as they made six changes from their narrow loss against Tottenham Hotspur in a seven-goal thriller, as goalkeeper Andre Onana, Harry Maguire, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Tyrell Malacia, Bruno Fernandes and  Joshua Zirkzee were recalled.

Dean Huijsen broke the deadlock for Bournemouth on the half-hour mark with a powerful header from a free-kick by Ryan Christie.

After going to the break trailing, United were in trouble on the hour-mark after Justin Kluivert doubled the lead for The Cherries from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the box by Noussair Mazraoui.

Things got worse for Ruben Amorim's charges three minutes later Antoine Semenyo made it 3-0 for the visitors with a sweeping shot in the box after he was teed up by Dango Ouattara.

The Red Devils will spend Christmas in the bottom of the table for the first time since 1989.

Everton 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea's five-game winning run in the league came to an end after a goalless draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

Chelsea made two changes following their win over Brentford last weekend as Pedro Neto started ahead of Noni Madueke and Axel Disasi took the place of the suspended Marc Cucurella.

The Blues had a few good chances in the first stanza, particularly around the half-hour mark, as Nicolas Jackson was denied by goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and moments later had a shot that came off the post.

The second stanza was laboured Enzo Maresca's charges, who were frustrated to a stalemate by the Toffees.

Leicester City 0-3 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers ended their four-game losing streak in style after thrashing Leicester City 3-0 at King Power Stadium.

Goncalo Guedes opened the scoring for Wolves on 19 minutes with a first-time shot from a pass by Nelson Semedo.

Rodrigo Gomes doubled the lead for Wolves nine minutes before the break with a strike in the box after a good cross by Matt Doherty.

Matheus Cunha put the visitors out of sight on the stroke of halftime with a strike that went in off the post after a through ball by Guedes.

Fulham 0-0 Southampton

Fulham extended their unbeaten run to four matches after a goalless draw against bottom side Southampton at Craven Cottage.

With chances few and far between, Alex Iwobi came the closest to breaking the deadlock for Fulham 12 minutes before the interval with a strike from the edge of the box that zipped narrowly wide.

Iwobi thought he had finally found the back of the net for The Cottagers just after the hour-mark with a close-range header that was brilliantly kept out by goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
