With Manchester United and Liverpool up for sale, another Premier League club has reportedly been placed on the market for £500 million (R10 billion).
Official: 9 Transfers Completed Since Last Week
The Guardian has reported that Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is willing to listen to offers of about £500 million for the Merseyside club after protests against the team's ownership in recent weeks.
Everton supporters have voiced their concerns and frustration amid the side's poor run of form, culminating in the sacking of ex-Premier League midfielder Frank Lampard earlier this week.
The Toffees are currently in the relegation zone of England's top division, having won just three of their 20 matches so far this season, losing 11 times.
As a result of the increased pressure, the British-Iranian billionaire has decided to put Everton up for sale, with it being reported that Deloitte will handle the selling of the club founded in 1878.
Moshiri and his directors were instructed to not attend Everton's league encounter against Southampton earlier this month over safety concerns, a game the team lost 2-1 despite taking the lead.
