Pep Gives 'Six-Figure' Bonus Away

Pep Guardiola has reportedly given the six-figure bonus he earned for winning the treble at Manchester City away.

According to the Daily Mail, the Spaniard has gifted the sum of money he earned for securing an historic treble this season away to City's staff.

The publication claims that the former Barcelona coach received about £750 000 (R17.3 million) after winning the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and Premier League in the 2022/23 campaign.

However, Guardiola decided not to keep the bonus payout and instead donated it to people who work at the club, including receptionists and security.

His act has been interpreted as his insistence on the importance of everyone who represents the Citizens, having already been considered a massively popular figure at the club.

Guardiola's side claimed a 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in Istanbul this past weekend to win a maiden Champions League trophy for the English giants, and the third of his career.
