Official: Manchester City Owners Partner With 4th Division Club Vannes OC

With Manchester City's owners having already bought 10 clubs worldwide, the City Football Group has now entered into a new partnership with a fourth division side.

The City Football Group (CFG), the holding company that administers all clubs under the ownership of Abu Dhabi United Group – which is owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan – has now partnered with French side Vannes Olympique Club (VOC).

City's owners, who entered into a similar partnership with Club Bolivar in January, are aiming to help the Championnat National 2 side "through the sharing of experiences, technologies and training of staff and teams", Vannes announced via their official website.

"The VOC is an exciting club which has the ambition to gain strength in the coming seasons and a strong desire for professional structuring," Brian Marwood, CFG's managing director of global football, told letelgramme.fr.

"Vannes is also a dynamic city with good sports infrastructure and a municipality that supports sport. It was natural for us to extend our relationship with (VOC president) Maxime Ray and the municipality of Vannes through this technical collaboration.

"We will have the opportunity to share best practices in talent scouting and training methods, and to explore other areas of common interest in the world of football. We are delighted with what is already shaping up to be a fruitful partnership and to be able to get to know the club and the Vannes region better in the new year."
