Lingard has not played football since his departure from Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking in a press conference, he revealed what it was that made him join FC Seoul.
"I have received several offers since last summer. However, other clubs only made verbal offers," he stated.
"FC Seoul sent a written offer. And club officials showed their sincerity by coming to Manchester to check my physical condition. At that time, I decided to signed with FC Seoul."
