The Arsenal outcast, who has played with both superstars, has now jumped to his Gunners teammate's defence after Kroos labelled his famous mask celebrations as "nonsense".
Aubameyang himself responded on social media by asking his followers: "Does Toni Kroos have kids? Just to remember I did (dress up) for my son few times and will do it again."
He later posted another tweet, writing: "Send Toni Kroos congratulations for his three kids, cordially your Batman and Robin."
Ozil has now weighed in on the debate and clearly sided with Aubameyang, tweeting a gif of one of the Gabonese's famous mask celebration along with the caption: "The best goal celebration!"
