The 45-year-old featured alongside the likes of Edgar Davids, Clarence Seedorf, Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Patrick Kluivert, to name just a few.
For Van der Sar, picking a midfield was the toughest part of his team selection, but he eventually settled on two legends of the game.
"Midfield is difficult," the former goalkeeper said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
"I've had the opportunities with (Zinedine) Zidane, Paul Scholes, Del Piero, and Frank Rijkaard.
"Let's go for Scholes. Scholes and Zidane. They could play together!"
