United will reportedly go after the 28-year-old at the end of the season in order to strengthen the club's midfield.
The Independent has put together a possible starting XI with the inclusion of Kroos, who many would expect to play in a deep playmaking role should he make the move to Old Trafford.
David de Gea was unsurprisingly selected in goal, along with a back four of Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw.
The usual pairing of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic was selected in midfield, with rumoured target Kroos playing in between them.
On the wings, Kroos can look for the forward runs of new signing Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial, while the publication went with Romelu Lukaku up front.
